Protest of tire wheel suppliers
Baku / 12.01.18 / Turan: A group of traders today held a protest action before the State Customs Committee (SCC) expressing dissatisfaction with the new duties. Participants of the rally stated that duties on import of used wheel tires were increased three-fold. So, the duty on one container with tires is increased from 15 thousand to 45 thousand manats.
In turn, the press service of the State Customs Committee said that duties were raised from January 1, 2018 in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on November 17, 2017. The SCC believes that the suppliers were informed in advance of the increase and this measure is in accordance with the existing regulatory and legal acts.According to observers, this measure will lead to an increase in prices for car tires on the market.-05B-
