Quarantine Tightened Again: No Metro, No Classes for Two Weeks
Baku / 16.10.20 / Turan: Due to the significant increase in the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers decided to tighten the quarantine regime in Azerbaijan.
According to the report, the following restrictions are being introduced: from 00:00 on October 19 to 06:00 on November 2, the work of the Baku Metro is suspended;
Holidays are announced from October 19 to November 2 in all educational institutions in the country.
The number of employees of government agencies is reduced by 30%, and the rest of the employees are switching to remote work.
The same rules are recommended for businesses and private sector organizations.
People over 65 who are at high risk are not advised to leave the house unnecessarily.
The headquarters urges citizens to strictly observe the rules of personal hygiene, use protective masks and have less contact with other people in public places. -02D-

On Sunday, September 29, cloudy weather mostly without precipitation is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, along with a prevailing northeast wind. Nighttime temperatures will range from 14 to 18°C, while daytime temperatures are expected to reach 22 to 26°C, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan.
