Residents of the village of Surakhani demand to built a water pipeline
Baku / 18.04.19/Turan: On April 18, a group of residents of the "New Surakhani" settlement blocked the road to the airport, protesting against the lack of water pipes. The rally was stopped after police intervened, villagers said.
Anar Jabrailly, a spokesman for Azersu OJSC, commenting on this issue, said that there was no water supply system in the village. In recent years, the company managed to build a network on one of the streets and provide residents with water.
"However, many houses have recently been built in this area and there is no water supply in a certain part of the village.
Jabrailly said that this issue is included in the plan of JSC and will be implemented in stages.
After the year 2000, many houses were built in nearby settlements of Baku. Most of these homes have not been officially registered.
Some experts claim that there are more than 500 thousand of such houses in the suburbs of Baku. In 2013, the head of state signed a decree on solving problems with the registration of these houses. -05B-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
