Salaries Increased for 100,000 Teachers - Jabbarov

Baku / 04.05.17 / Turan: As a percentage, the number of pupils of the IX grade who passed exams for "good" increased from 50.2% in 2012 to 67.2% in 2016. This was stated by Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

He said the results of examinations in schools increased by 17% for four years. The minister noted that the number of those who received "excellent" in 2015 was 7%, and in 2016 - 9.2%.

According to the President's decree, "On increasing hourly pay and wages," salaries have been raised for 100,000 teachers.

175 teachers were awarded a high state award, the minister said.

Concerning the issue of educating young people abroad, Jabbarov said that within the framework of the State Program for the Education of Youth Abroad in 2007-2015, 3,558 people received education.
