Layoffs for Political Views Continue
Baku / 04.05.17 / Turan: On May 3, Elkhan Nuriyev, an activist of the Khatai branch of the Popular Front Party, was dismissed from Azersu OJSC.
The reason for this was his political activities and participation in the opposition rally on April 8.
“I was told that my participation in the opposition rally did not please the leadership. I objected, but I was told that it was better to write a statement of resignation on my own, so that something bad was not done against me. I wrote it,” Nuriyev told Turan.
It was impossible to receive comments from Azersu.
Nuriyev became the fifth PFPA activist who lost his job after the opposition rally on April 8 under the slogan No Monarchy, No Robbery, No Lies! -03B-
