Salaries of judges of all courts increase
Baku/27.12.13/Turan : At today's session of the Parliament amended the Law "On Courts and Judges." MPs approved the increase in salaries: for the Chairman of the Supreme Court (2.070 instead of the previous 1.785 manat.)
Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan autonomy and heads the appellate courts will receive 90% (1.863 manat) of the rate of the "chief minister of Themis ."
President of the Court for Serious Crimes , a similar structure Nakhchivan autonomy , the Military Court of Serious Crimes, and other military courts will get 1.656 manat.
Vice- presidents of the courts will receive 90% of the salaries of their chiefs , chairmen of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Courts of Appeal will receive 85%, the judges of all levels - 80% of the salaries of their chiefs .
Allowance for wages will be determined - for every five year- 15%, but not more than 45% of salary. The same allowances await prosecutors and judges.
Allowances to judges of the Supreme Court are determined in the amount of 25% , Courts of Appeal - 20%. --17D—

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
