Second case of death from coronavirus in Azerbaijan
Baku / 25.03.20 / Turan: Azerbaijan has revealed six new cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the country said on Wednesday.
The statement of the headquarters noted that one of the infected, a citizen of the Azerbaijan Republic, went to the hospital complaining of fever and shortness of breath. A patient who also suffered from diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease was tested for COVID-19, which gave a positive result. Despite the efforts of doctors, the patient's condition worsened, and he died on the day of admission to the hospital. Family members of the patient and other persons with whom he was in contact are quarantined.
Currently, 81 patients with active coronavirus are in special treatment hospitals in Azerbaijan. The health of three of them is serious, 5 - in a state of moderate severity, the condition of the rest is stable. Measures for their treatment are ongoing.
