Sentencing on Case of Lawyer Aslan Ismayilov Delayed
Baku / 29.06.18 / Turan: The meeting on the case of the prominent lawyer Aslan Ismayilov was postponed on June 29. As sources in the court said, the sentencing in the case was postponed because of the judge's employment in another process.
Recall that the lawsuit against Ismayilov was filed by the head of the party Modern Musavat Hafiz Hajiyev, who demanded the arrest of Ismayilov and his fine of 100 thousand manat.
Hajiyev"s claim was motivated by the fact that Ismayilov insulted him in his publications in social networks. In particular, he called Hajiyev "a living being". This gave reason to the scandalous politician to speak about the violation of articles 147 and 148 of the Criminal Code (slander and insult).
Recall that Hafiz Hajiyev is the same man who threatened to cut off an ear of the writer Akram Aylisli. He also received the honor of being registered with the authorities as a presidential candidate. During the pre-election speeches, he claimed that Ilham Aliyev, or at the very least, he himself, would win. -05B-

At 16 meters long, the creature’s seemingly lifeless form and pungent odor left many convinced they were witnessing an ecological tragedy. By that night, however, the mysterious visitor had departed, loaded onto a cargo platform and whisked away to the airport.
