The head of the Caucasus Muslims Department Allahshukur Pashazadeh is in the United States to participate in the 50-year anniversary of the International Fund Appeal of Conscience.
The visit comes at the invitation of the founder and President of the Foundation Rabbi Arthur Shneier.
The Foundation promotes mutual respect and tolerance of different religions.
Sheikh Pashazadeh is the sole member of the Foundation from the Muslim countries.
Before the meeting, Pashazadeh held bilateral meetings with the President of the Foundation Arthur Shneier, Cardinal Mc Carrick from the Vatican, and the head of the American Armenian Church Archbishop J. Barsamian.
The parties stressed the need to continue the efforts of religious leaders to settle the Karabakh conflict.
