Shirvan Administrative Court rejects the claims of the residents of the disaster zone
On July 5 Shirvan Administrative Economic Court, chaired by Fikret Mekhtiyev considered claims of 14 residents of Imishli region against the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES.) All of them suffered during the floods in the Kura River in May and June 2010.
The court dismissed all claims, Turan was told by Oktay Gulalyev, the Coordinator of "Kura" Staff, protecting the rights of victims. Gulalyev petitioned about judicial expertise to revalue homes of the sufferers, because the examination of MES was not "objective and the value was lowered," he said.

Today Shirvan Administrative Economic Court has completed consideration of about 70 cases affected by the floods.
The courts have rejected most of them, and there are still 50 lawsuits to be considered. At the same time, two of the plaintiff, failed to find the truth in the country, and filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights.
According to the staff of "Kura", after the Minister Emergency Situations, Kemaleddin Heydarov met with the victims of the floods in Salyan, Saatli, Sabirabad and Imishli regions, re-evaluation of destroyed or damaged homes has begun. Approximately 90 houses have been inspected and in some cases, it was decided to reconstruct some of them.

Two hundred families have filed complaints against MES, the "Irrigation and Water Management," as well as the regional authorities. At present, there are 114 complaints in the courts.
