Singer Agadadash Agayev faces up to 7 years in prison
People's Artist Agadadash Agayev has been charged with hooliganism with the use of weapons, Article 221.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. A similar charge was brought against the guard of the clinic where the incident occurred.
According to the investigation, examinations have been appointed to determine the severity of the injuries inflicted. Both participants in the incident were prosecuted as defendants.
On July 22, a guard at a private clinic, N.Jalilov, complained to the police that at 7 a.m. Agayev threw an axe at him, insulted and threatened. The axe thrown by Agayev hit the leg of an employee of the clinic, N.Pashayeva.
It should be noted that Article 221.3 implies punishment in the form of imprisonment from 3 to 7 years. It is not clear why the guard, who defended himself from an armed bully, was also charged.
