Baku/04.08.22/Turan: Shamkir military prosecutor's office started a criminal case on the fact of soldier Agamirov Punkhan's death from a bullet wound in Tovuz region on August 5 under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office said on Friday that the investigation believes that the crime was committed by a fellow soldier of the deceased, soldier Kazimov Amil. He has been detained as a suspect, it said. -06В-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
