Special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan extended until May 1
Baku/21.02.23/Turan: The special quarantine regime has been extended in Azerbaijan, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated February 21.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the period of the special quarantine regime in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been extended until 06:00 on May 1, 2023, the document says.
The last time the quarantine regime was extended in December 2022 until March 1, 2023. It has now been extended for another two months.
The first case of coronavirus infection was detected in Azerbaijan on February 28, 2020. After that, a special quarantine regime was introduced in the country. At present, all bans have been lifted in Azerbaijan, except for the opening of land borders. Because of this, hundreds of Azerbaijani citizens could not arrive in the country from Russia, and were forced to wait for months in camps in Dagestan. --16D---
