Stepfather of 11-year-old girl who gave birth arrested
Baku/02.11.21/Turan: The stepfather of the 11-year-old girl who gave birth to a baby in Imishli has been arrested.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told Turan that he was accused of raping the child.
Born in 1978, the man was charged under Article 149.3.3 (rape committed against a victim who has not reached the age of 14) and Article 150.3.3 (violent acts of sexual nature committed against a person under the age of 14) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
The court decided to implement a preventive measure against the child's stepfather in the form of arrest for four months.
The victim herself has been placed in a relevant facility of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security for protection of her interests and social and psychological rehabilitation.
The child's mother was placed in an agency's shelter where she received social and psychological rehabilitation measures. -06B-
