Сycle roads are laid in Baku and Absheron
Baku / 07.07.21 / Turan: The Baku Transport Agency reports on measures to develop cycling in the capital and create appropriate infrastructure. The work on this track is carried out in two directions: the creation of marking lines where the road infrastructure allows and the implementation of special construction and installation works.
Another track will be a 7.5 km long cycle road to cover mainly the central part of the city.
The first phase of creating a cycle network has already been implemented. The point is about a cycle path connecting the Bilgya cardiological sanatorium and the Amburan recreation center.
The Baku Ring Road made it possible to lay a bicycle path in the area with a length of 2 km and a width of 2.5 m in both directions.
Also, to ensure safe movement, a buffer zone with a width of 70 cm has been created where rubber poles with reflectors are installed .
It is important to note that the Baku Transport Agency asks drivers not to interfere with movement of cyclists and comply with traffic rules. It is forbidden to park the car on the bike track or move along it.
At the next stages, it is planned to build a cycle path to the villages of Buzovna and Pirshagi that will increase a share of cycling in inter-village communication. - 06D-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
