Taxi drivers protest in Nakhchivan
Baku/28.12.22/Turan: Taxi drivers held a protest rally in front of the Supreme Mejlis in Nakhchivan.
One of the participants of the action, who informed Turan about this, said that dozens of drivers took part in the action.
"Not everyone in Nakhchivan could work as a taxi driver. At the time of Vasif Talibov, taxis could only be cars of the brand "NAZ Lifan". The authorities did not allow cars of other brands to be used as taxis. If taxi drivers protested, their cars were taken to the penalty area, and the license was canceled. And taxi drivers were forced to agree to this in order not to starve to death. These cars worth 20 thousand manats were sold to us for 35 thousand manats," the taxi driver said.
The protesters said they were asking the new leadership of Nakhchivan to consider their appeal.
It is reported that the action ended without excesses. --0—
