Ten People Punished for Illegal Religious Propaganda
Baku / 19.07.17 / Turan: The Main Directorate of Public Security of the Ministry of the Interior (MIA) conducted operational activities in the Yasamal and Nizami districts of the capital, as well as in the cities of Gandja and Shirvan, and the towns of Guba and Terter. The actions were held in order to prevent the sale of religious literature in places not identified for this purpose, MIA reports.
The report says that with respect to 10 people who sold literature and other products without a license, a protocol of administrative violation was drawn up. These individuals were confiscated 309 copies of religious literature and 34 CDs.
MIA reports that for 6 months of this year 138 people were detained for illegal propaganda. They were confiscated a total of 1,066 pieces of religious literature, 102 CDs and DVDs, 16 audio cassettes, and 94 magazines. A criminal case was instituted on one of the facts. --0---
