The activist was released from the police with a fine

Baku / 12.07.23 / Turan: Public activist Latif Mammadov, detained on the night of July 12, was released from the police on Wednesday evening.

Mammadov himself informed Turan about this.

According to him, he was detained by people in civilian clothes and taken to the Nasimi district police department of Baku.

The activist noted that the reason for the detention was his critical comment under the publication on facebook on "Meydan TV" about the statements of President Ilham Aliyev on the events in Soyudlu, and in particular the justification by the head of state of the harsh dispersal of the protest action of the villagers.

The activist also reported that moral pressure had been exerted on him.

In the end, he was forced to sign a protocol on disobeying the police and, after imposing a fine of 100 manats, he was released.

It was not possible to get comments from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.—06B-
