The authority to transfer children to foster families is transferred to the Ministry of Labor
Baku/15.02.22/Turan: On February 15, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree "On certain issues related to preventing the deprivation of parental care and strengthening the protection of children's rights."
According to the document, from November 1, 2022, the powers to conduct state policy, regulation and state control in relation to foster families are vested in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
The same department is transferred to the functions of maintaining in electronic form a unified record of children transferred to foster families, placing children deprived of parental care in orphanages, taking measures to return children from orphanages to families or foster families using social support mechanisms.
The Ministry of Labor is also entrusted with the development of plans for individual development in connection with the pupils of orphanages.—06B-
