The court did not satisfy the lawsuit against the journalist, and ruled to change the title
Baku / 05.08.19 / Turan: On Monday the Binagadi District Court, chaired by Emil Aliyev, partially satisfied the lawsuit of the deputy director of school number 251 Elmira Alandarova against the journalist Sevinj Vagifgyzy.
Alandarova filed a lawsuit against Vagifgyzy, demanding an apology, monetary compensation of 2,500 manats, and the removal of a video clip from the network about the presidential election on April 11, 2018.
The plaintiff's claims were triggered by a story about voting at three polling stations in school number 251, published by the online resource Meydan TV under the title: "ELECTIONS 2018:" Deputy Director, who controls the "carousel" in the elections. "
The plot showed how Alandarova sends groups of teachers around the school on election day.
Before making a decision, the judge invited the parties to go to the world.
Her husband Raset Gasimov, who represents Alandarova, refused to reconcile, explaining that at the previous trial, he wished Vagifgyzy and her fiancé happiness, but they did not apologize.
The judge asked Gasimov why his wife was at the polling station on polling day without being a member of the election commission. Gasimov replied that his wife was summoned to school from the Nizami District Executive.
In turn, the lawyer of the journalist Zibeyda Sadigova drew attention to the fact that the interference of the executive branch in the election process is illegal.
Gasimov insisted on apologizing, paying compensation and removing the video.
However, the judge did not grant his request. In the end, the judge decided to change only the title of the video.
Vagifgyzy intends to appeal, because she believes that the title reflects the essence of the video. -16 / 06D--
