The court leaves five PFPA activists in custody
Baku/27.07.20/Turan: On Monday the Baku Court of Appeal rejected a complaint about the arrest of Mehdi Ibrahimov, the son of a member of the Presidium of the Popular Front Party Mamed Ibrahim.
Mehdi Ibragimov was detained on July 15 after a rally in support of the army. However, only on July 20, he was charged under Article 139-1.1 (violation of the quarantine regime, resulting in the spread of the disease).
On July 22, the court arrested him for 3 months and put him in penitentiary institution No. 3 for patients with tuberculosis.
On July 26 his father, Mamed Ibrahim, was detained and his fate is still unknown.
Today, the Court of Appeal rejected complaints about the arrest of PFPA activists: Muhammad Imanli, Ramid Nagiyev, Ayaz Maharramov, Baba Suleymanov and Seymur Ahmedov.
According to the PFPA, none of them was taken to court and even their online presence was not ensured. -16D06-
