The drivers of private buses protest against the arbitrary of the police
Baku / 11.12.17 / Turan: More than 50 drivers and entrepreneurs engaged in bus passenger transportations held a protest on December 11 in front of the Baku Police Road. The participants of the action told Turan, recently the traffic police officers have been obstructing them without the necessary grounds.
"The drivers are stopped for tinted windows, for inaccurate indication of passenger seats. After that, they are sent to room 14 of the Traffic Police, where they are forced to pay 150 manats. In return, no protocols or other documents are provided.
We want to know the reason of what is happening," said Turan one of the drivers who asked to remain anonymous. He also noted that 2-3 days before 10 drivers were fined without receiving checks or protocols.
The drivers demand an end to this arbitrariness and gathered before the police department. The police promised to receive them at 15:00. Turan failed to receive any comment in the police. -03B-
