The identity card at 15-years-old

Fifteen-year-old  citizens can obtain identity cards after taking fingerprints. Appropriate changes  have been made at today's meeting of the Parliament to the laws "On the identity card of the citizen of Azerbaijan" and "On Exit, Entry and passports."

According to Ali Huseynli,  the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, in accordance with the law, a child under 15 years, can not be subjected to fingerprint analysis.

Ordinary (the so-called foreign) passport will be issued on the same basis within 10 working days, except in cases of urgent medical treatment abroad (applies to accompanying person (s), as well as serious illness or death of a close relative abroad) - in these cases, passport is issued within two working days. Paying a higher fee, you can get a regular passport  in  five days, and in a  day.

The procedure for obtaining  civil status documents for under ages on the basis of evidence about the absence of a parent has also been simplified. If the court decides to declare one parent dead or missing, and the deprivation of his parental rights, then  consent of one parent to obtain information and documents  is sufficient. In  these cases  it is possible to enter in metrics data for one of the parents. Practice shows, that legislative innovation will free a lot of children and their legal guardians of bureaucratic red tape. –17D—
