Head of the IRFS, Emin Huseynov, claims to the post of General Director of ITV
The deadline for applications to the National Broadcasting Council (NBC) in the contest for the position of Director General of the Public Television (ITV) expired on Friday. The elections to the post are held in connection with the expiration of the next four-year term of the ITV Director General office.
On the last day for applications to participate in the contest documents was submitted by Emin Huseynov, the Head of the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety (IRFS.)
This institution is implementing an on-line project "Objective TV" which during a short time has gained popularity among Internet users through reports and interviews on human rights issues and open discussions on topical issues of the country.
According to the NBC, the list of all candidates will be announced on April 22. After verifying their compliance with legal requirements of the ITV Broadcasting Council, the CEO will be elected. —06D--
