Public activist Jalal Javadov has been arrested administratively for 30 days. This decision was made on January 31 by the Nasimi District Court of Baku, which found him guilty under Article 206 (illegal consumption, production, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of drugs not for the purpose of sale in quantities necessary for personal use) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
This was reported by the activist's relatives. According to them, the charge is far-fetched, since Javadov has nothing to do with drugs.
Activists believe that Javadov was detained in connection with his protest action on January 29 during the municipal elections.
At one of the polling stations, Javadov dropped a poster with photos of arrested Meydan TV journalists into the ballot box.

Where has young activist gone to?
For more than 20 hours there has been no information about the activist Jalal Javadov, who disappeared the previous day.
His lawyer Zibeyda Sadygova cannot get information from the Internal Ministry about whether Javadov has been detained. The press service of the Interior Ministry also did not respond to Turan Agency's enquiry.
In turn, mother of the activist appealed to the Ombudsman with a request to help in finding her son.
As a reminder, on 30 January, information was spread in social networks that it was Jalal Javadov who threw a photo of arrested 'Meydan TV' journalists into the ballot box on 29 January during the municipal elections. He then photographed it and published it on social networks.
At around 4 p.m. on 30 January, he stopped communicating. According to unofficial reports, he was detained by the police.
