Activists believe that he may have been detained in connection with his protest action on November 29 during the municipal elections.
At one of the polling stations, Javadov dropped a poster with photos of arrested Meydan TV journalists into the ballot box.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs could not be reached for comment.
