Baku / 01.04.19 / Turan: Lawyer Elchin Sadigov was not allowed to meet in the Binagadi detention center with NİDA activist Bayram Mamedov. On March 30, he was sentenced to 30 days of administrative arrest against the charge of not submitting to the police. According to the lawyer, the prison management explained the refusal by sanitary and disinfection work. The lawyer was told that he could only see Mamedov on April 3. Sadigov also failed to file an appeal for the arrest because he was not provided with the text of the decision.
Bayram Mammadov and Giyas Ibrahimov were detained after they wrote political slogans on the monument to Heydar Aliyev on May 10, 2016.
