The number of detainees in the course of actions in support of NIDA activists grows (UPDATED)
According to information from PPFA, during the protest against the sentence on the NIDA activists, 11 members of the party were detained, including Turkel Alisoy, Chilanay Turkel, Kamala Bananyarly, Toghrul Ibrahim, Turan Ibrahim, Hussein Novruzov, Rasul Mursalov, Seyran Nabiyev, Fizuli Ovchuyev, and Kamran Zeynalov.
As the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party Gezal Bayramly told Turan, during the detention Mursalov was beaten on his legs and injured.
In connection with the protest against the sentence for NIDA activists, according to various estimates more than 20 people were detained.
Among them are five members of the party Musavat, Amid Suleymanov, Tural Abbasli, Rufat Hajibeyli, Shamil Beydulla and Sarvan Abdulazimov.
The latter two were delivered to the 22nd Nasimi police station, deputy chairman of Musavat, Gulaga Aslanli told Turan.
Journalists have also documented the detention of the reporter of the newspaper Yeni Musavat, Muhammad Turkmen, the Azadlig newspaper reporter, Khalid Garayev, the PFPA activist Kamal Bananyarly, Rahman Mammadli from NIDA and 10 other people.
Note that the police acted with extreme brutality against journalists. So they grabbed and tore the shirt of the photojournalist of Turan, Etimad Budagov.
People in civilian clothes tried to detain the reporter for Turan IA and The Voice of America, Parvana Bayramova, despite the fact that she was wearing a special vest with the word Press. However Bayramova’s colleagues managed to snatch her from the hands of the police.
Police prevented work of photo and video reporters, breaking photo and video cameras and tearing tablets out of the hands of the journalists. For this reason, many journalists have received injuries of varying degrees. -06D-

The verdict on NIDA activists was seen by their supporters standing outside indignantly. The protesters chanted "Freedom!"
In response, the police began to disperse all the people gathered harshly and indiscriminately, using force, including against journalists.
