The number of participants in the hunger strike in support of Huseynov is growing
Baku / 07.01.19 / Turan: The hunger strike continues in the office of the Musavat party, demanding the release of blogger Mehman Huseynov and other political prisoners.
Musavat board member, Tofig Yagublu, has been on a hunger strike since January 4, while PFPA activist Tofig Mammadov is on January 2.
On January 6, public activist Fatima Movlamly, head of the "Mussavi" organization in Sumgayit -Elshad Israfilov, and member of the Popular Front Party, Yashar Ferazi, joined the hunger strike; and on January 7, Fuad Rahimli (Musavat), Rovshan Nifalzade (PFPA), Mubariz Fatullayev (PFPA), Nijat Abdullah (PFPA), and Leyla Babayeva (non-party) have also joined them.
The authorities have not responded to the action.
According to human rights organizations, there are 150 political prisoners in Azerbaijan. -06D--
