The Prosecutor General submitted to the parliament a proposal to deprive E. Salimov of parliamentary immunity /UPDATED/

The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, submitted to the Milli Mejlis a proposal to deprive Eldaniz Salimov of his parliamentary immunity in order to bring him to criminal responsibility.

On July 29, in the Old Dvor restaurant in the town of Khachmaz, Salimov beat up Zaur Mirzoyev, an employee of the registration and identity card department of the Khachmaz district police department, the General Prosecutor's Office told the press service the day before.

Based on the collected materials, a lawsuit has been filed under  the Article 309.2 (abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The investigation is ongoing at the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office.-06D-

Extraordinary session of parliament will decide the fate of Eldaniz Salimov?

Baku/31.07.21/Turan: An extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has been scheduled for August 3, sources in the parliament told Turan.

The topic of the meeting is the behavior of Khachmaz deputy Eldaniz Salimov, who beat a policeman this week.

There is no official announcement of the upcoming session yet.

Recall that the drunken deputy did not like that the policeman demanded to comply with the quarantine requirements. -0-
