The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed his attitude to the publication about the investigation of the businessman`s complaint about the beating
Baku/21.07.23 /Turan: The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan reacted to the publication of the Turan agency "The Ganja police is delaying the investigation of the criminal case of the beating of a businessman", published on July 21.
It was about delaying the investigation into the beating of businessman Orkhan Ismailov. The businessman blamed the refusal to open a criminal case on the investigator of the local police, Heydar Heydarov, and claimed that after his appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs, this employee was dismissed. Ismailov also said that despite the cancellation by the prosecutor's office of the decision to close the case and the instruction by the Interior Minister to conduct a second investigation, there is no progress in this matter.
In turn, the chief inspector of the Ganja regional group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Eshgin Gasimov, in connection with these publications, told Turan:
"Currently, the Investigation Department of the Main Police Department of the city of Ganja is investigating this issue. An appropriate examination has been appointed, depending on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given. And the allegations made in connection with the police officer H. Heydarov are not substantiated." ---21B---
