Today, Nasimi District Court extended by two months the arrest of deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli. At the same time the court rejected the request for release of Gahramanli on bail. According to the lawyer Fahraddin Mehdiyev, Judge Elman Isayev not justified rejection of the application and did not present any justification. Protection intends to appeal this decision, Mehdiyev said.
* Gahramanli was arrested on December 8, 2015 on charges of public appeals against the state, national, racial and religious hatred. In particular Gahramanli is charged with the publication on Facebook a call for illegal actions in Nardaran. In fact Gahramanli spoke of the need for local people to protect their rights. —06B-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
