Baku/25.05.21/Turan: From May 31, Azerbaijan will cancel the wearing of masks in the open air. According to Shakhmar Movsumov, the Baku metro will resume its work from May 31. Intercity and inter-district passenger transport is also being restored.
In addition, from June 10, shopping centers and large shopping centers, sports and recreation complexes, religious buildings will be allowed to work. The beaches will also be open from June 10.
According to the representative of the presidential administration, the COVID passport will be introduced in Azerbaijan.
The presidential aide said that those vaccinated with two doses will receive a vaccine certificate.
"The second certificate is a certificate of immunity. It will be given to the sick and recovering. Both of these certificates will be called COVID passports. Those who have them will be able to use the services of sports and health facilities. In the future, it is planned to apply this approach to weddings. Those who want to attend concerts, theaters and holidays will also be issued a COVID passport, " he said.
In turn, the head of the Department of Disease Prevention and Control of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance (TƏBIB), Yagut Garayeva, said at a briefing that although the number of infections in Azerbaijan has decreased, there are still deaths.
