Baku/08.04.22/Turan: During the operational activities of the employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, suspects of illegal arms and drug trafficking were detained.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, residents of the Saatli region Yashar Jafarov and Gulnara Nasirova were detained. They are accused of drug smuggling and about 10 kg of heroin were confiscated from them.
Bahman Ibrahimov, suspected of illegal possession of weapons, was detained in Surakhani district. During the search, a TT pistol and 8 rounds of ammunition were found and confiscated from him.
Criminal cases were initiated against the detainees, they were arrested.-06B-

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has already announced the names of the leading candidates on its website.
