Three People Died in Explosion in Private House
Baku / 09.01.19 / Turan: Last night, an explosion occurred in a one-story house in the Yasamal district of Baku, causing a fire, the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
As a result of the fire, a private two-room apartment burned down. The blast wave brought down the load-bearing wall on the nearby Tofash car.
The bodies of members of one family - Aydin Ajdar Oglu Mammadov, born in 1956, Khuraman Jahangir Gyzy Mammadova, born in 1962, and their daughter Aygun Aydin Gyzy Mammadova born in 1993, were found at the scene.
An investigation is underway, the Emergencies Ministry said.
Note that the explosion occurred at 40 Tolstoy Street. This is the area of demolition of old buildings above the Taza Pir mosque. Many houses around have already been evicted.
According to eyewitnesses, recently in this zone they periodically shut off the gas supply and after a while resumed it.
The explosion occurred at about 3 a.m.
The damaged car belonged to the deceased Mammadov, who was engaged in private taxi services. -06D-
