Baku /22.10.19 / Turan: Young activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Tofig Mammadov was detained by police on October 22. This happened the day after he completed the administrative detention for a period of 10 days.
Mammadov told Turan that in the afternoon he was summoned to the 29th branch of the Yasamal district police department. There he was offered to quit the party. However, he refused. After that, a protocol on the commission of an offense provided for under Art. 510 (petty hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Offenses was compiled.
"After the question was made public, they apparently changed their minds about arresting me," Mammadov said.
Tofig Mammadov was arrested on October 11 for ten days after holding a solitary protest at the Inshaatchilar metro station.
Earlier, on January 19, Mammadov was arrested for 20 days on charges of not subordinating to the police. On February 22, on the eve of the rally scheduled for February 23, Mammadov received 15 days in jail. On April 12 he was again given 20 days in jail. -06D--
