Two armed Iranian drug couriers detained with 9 kg of drugs
Baku/23.10.23/Turan: At midnight on October 22, two border violators from Iran were spotted near the village of Ostair in the Yardimli region of Azerbaijan.
They ignored the demands of the Azerbaijani border guards, opened fire on them and tried to escape. During the pursuit, the violators were detained and disarmed. They were Iranian citizens Ibrahimzadeh Janali, born in 1986 and Siyamek Farzi, born in 2003.
More than 9 kg of drugs (5 kg 435 grams of heroin and 3 kg 620 grams of methamphetamine), a night vision device and a BERETTA pistol with 11 cartridges were found and seized from them. Operational search activities are ongoing. This is stated in the press service of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. -02D-
