War veteran tried to commit suicide in Samukh
Baku/18.08.22/Turan: On August 18, a veteran of the second Karabakh war, Tabriz Abdullayev, attempted to set himself on fire in front of the Executive Power of the Samukh region, the chairman of the Public Association of Young Veterans Haji Veliyev told Turan.
According to him, for almost a year Abdullayev applied to the executive branch for social assistance. “Every time he was told that he would receive it in the near future, and in the municipality the veteran was told that they had no vacancies,” Veliyev said.In the end, the veteran attempted an extreme step from hopelessness.
TəBİB (Association for the Management of Territorial Medical Units) told Turan that Abdullayev was being transported to Baku in a serious state.
“After the examination, it will be possible to assess his health,” the ministry said. The Executive Power of the Samukh region does not comment on the incident.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the fact of an attempted self-immolation in Samukh.
An investigation has been launched into the fact in the district prosecutor's office. The press-release of the prosecutor's office does not report the reasons for the suicide.—05B06-
