What does the Azerbaijani NOC do?
It seems that the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Azerbaijan is not particularly happy with medals won at the Olympics in Rio. Such an impression is due to the site of the NOC of Azerbaijan. Thus, on the table which should show the number of medals showing the achievements at the Olympic Games on the morning of August 12 there is - 0! And this despite the fact that the first medal was won on August 8, and the second the day before late in the evening. However, on the same site there is an information about the owners of the first medal - Judoka Rustam Orujov. We should only guess what do people in the NOC responsible for placing information to the site.
And the question arises: why does the state allocate huge sums for the maintenance of the NOC and of the Ministry of Sport, if they are unable to properly cover the basic facts? It seems that the management of the Ministry of Sport does not follow the NOC website. Apparently, Mr. Azad Rahimov is busy with other, more important things.
A young man (or a security guard on duty) who responded our telephone call to then NOC said that office is empty, except for an accountant. All went to the Olympics, and therefore no one to address our question: why there is no information on the won medals!
We wish Mr. Azad Rahimov and Chingiz Huseynzade a pleasant stay on the shores of Copacabana. Let's hope that on their return the head of state will ask them about it. -02В-
