Worker killed in wall collapse in Sheki
A resident of the village Gudla of Sheki, 27-year-old Vasif Shaban oglu Mamedov died in an accident that occurred on August 4 at 14:00.
During drilling operations on private property, he was struck by the collapsed wall, causing his death on the spot. According to preliminary data, the tragedy was the result of non-compliance with safety rules.
Vasif Mamedov was the father of two young children, and lived in a rented apartment in Sheki.
Arriving on the scene, rescue officers for more than three hours tried to get the worker's body from the rubble. At the same time, the rescuers did not use an excavator.
The prosecutor's office in Sheki has filed a criminal case under Article 124 (death by negligence).
