Azerbaijani editors for the first time invited to the annual forum of Wikipedia
In Hong Kong, on August 7-11, the ninth forum Wikimania will be held, where for the first time in its history, will be participating team of editors of Wikipedia Azerbaijan.
As the portal of the NGO Forum (www.qhtxeber.az), our representatives will be the main "Azerbaijani-Wikipedians" - Rovshan Ramizoglu and Elgun Atal.
According Ramizoglu in a virtual encyclopedia accumulated more than 95 million articles in the Azerbaijani language, edited 50 active editors AzWiki.
According to him, these figures are only a drop in the sea of ??virtual information trillions of virtual informative articles and interest to increase at the expense of public participation.

Azerbaijan significantly increased its rice imports to 52,500 tons in the first nine months of 2024, marking a 15.1% rise in physical weight and a 33.3% rise in import value compared to the same period in 2023, according to government data. The average price per ton of rice climbed by 15.8% to $1,042.17, up from $899.77 last year, further underscoring Azerbaijan’s reliance on imports to meet domestic demand, with 85% of the country’s rice needs covered through foreign sources.
