Zamin Salayev continues his hunger strike for 65th day
Baku/12.04.23/Turan: A member of the Popular Front Party, Zamin Salayev, is on a hunger strike for the 65th day in the Baku pre-trial detention center-1,a lawyer Fahraddin Mehdiyev, who met with him today in the pre-trial detention center reported.
According to him, Salayev's health is very serious. "He can't walk anymore. The guards brought him to the trial holding him by the arms. He has severe dizziness, wounds appeared on his body. He is severely exhausted," the lawyer said.
At the same time, Salayev was never transferred to the medical unit. The lawyer noted that despite his serious health, Salayev intends to continue his hunger strike.
* On February 8, the Garadagh District Court of Baku arrested Salayev for three months. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 221.3 of the Criminal Code. The activist faces up to 5 years in prison.
Zamin Salayev said in court that the accusation against him is false and he is being punished for criticizing the authorities in social networks. ----30C06---
