Azerbaijani Interior Ministry confirms detention of two Iranian drivers on Goris-Kafan Road
Baku/15.09.21/Turan: Two Iranian truck drivers were detained on the Goris-Kafan highway, Turan was told in the evening of September 15 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
According to the same source, these persons “illegally entered the territory of Azerbaijan. The cars that illegally entered Azerbaijan from the Armenian side were identified by officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Border Service, Customs and detained." Measures will be taken against the violators in accordance with the laws of Azerbaijan, the same source said.
The Goris-Kafan highway passes through the territory of the Gubadli and Lachin regions of Azerbaijan for 21 km.
According to Armenian media, these trucks were transporting cement from Iran to Karabakh. -02D-
