There is still a way out of the deplorable situation

The State Statistics Committee (SSC) has released data on food consumption per capita in 2023.

Calculations based on information provided by the State Customs Committee (SCC) showed that in January-May 2024, food products imported to Azerbaijan increased by 3.4% in value terms compared to the same period last year.

According to information published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) these days, the FAO Food Price Index in May 2024 increased by 0.9% compared to the April figure of the previous year. In May 2024, the FAO price indices for cereals, dairy and meat products increased, while the price indices for sugar and vegetable oils decreased.
