EU Delegation in Azerbaijan celebrated its 15th anniversary with concert
Baku/27.01.23/Turan: The EU Delegation to Azerbaijan marked the 15th anniversary of its mission to Baku on Thursday with a concert of European classical music at the International Mugham Centre.
Before the start Peter Mihalko, head of the EU Delegation, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
He noted that the EU representation office in Azerbaijan has been actively developing cooperation with government agencies and private and public institutions of the country.
Speaking about the development of bilateral relations, Mikhalko also pointed to the exchange of visits at the highest level.
"The EU is Azerbaijan's main trading partner, half of Azerbaijan's exports fall on EU countries. The new memorandum on energy cooperation has raised our relations to a new level. There is also close cooperation in the field of green energy," he said.
Also, Mikhalko emphasized that the EU is working closely with Azerbaijan to clear mines and unexploded ordnance from the liberated territories, assisting ANAMA.
Besides, the EU has organised over 50 twinning projects in Azerbaijan.
The EU intends to continue supporting economic, justice and human rights reforms in Azerbaijan, Mikhalko said.

In a world increasingly marred by the effects of climate change, art has emerged as an unexpected, yet powerful, platform for raising awareness and sparking conversations on environmental responsibility. One such endeavor is the exhibition "A Different Kind of Climate," currently on display at Kapellhaus with support from the Goethe-Institut. The timing of this exhibition is no coincidence, aligning with the upcoming COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. The exhibition seeks to engage audiences on pressing ecological issues, blending local and international perspectives.
