Festival of European films opens
On October 30 the embassies of the EU countries in Baku , with the support of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, opened the festival of European films in "Park Cinema." It was noted that such a forum to help establish cultural bridges between Europe and Azerbaijan. Thus, the final day of the festival, November 9 will screen art film "Nabat" by the Azerbaijani director, Elchin Musaoglu.
The festival will show 16 films from the same number of European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the UK.) It will feature, documentary, animated and short films.
"The festival will demonstrate the diversity and uniqueness of European culture," said at the opening of the forum, the EU Ambassador to Baku, Malena Mard. According to her, in the future, such festivals will be held in the regions of Azerbaijan. Films are screened free every day at «Park Cinema» at 16:00 and at 18:00 - on weekdays and one session at the weekend.
