Audit Chamber to Become More Transparent
The activity of the main public auditor of the country will become more transparent with the adoption of the new law "On Chamber of Accounts". Today transparent is only its building at 33 Khagani Street, which was built on the site of the evicted newspaper Azadlig.
According to the report of the Chamber, the draft document has been submitted to the government offices and has become the subject of discussion at a meeting in Baku between the Accounts Chamber Chairman Vugar Gulmamedov and the mission of the World Bank project "Reporting in the corporate and private sectors» (CAPSAP). The parties also discussed the progress of the various components of the project, in particular by providing advisory services in the implementation of the Chamber’s strategic plan for 2012-2014, as well as in improving the legislation.
The media noted that the draft CAPSAP is nearing completion.
