Russian Foreign Minister opened the exhibition of works by Tahir Salakhov
Moscow /21.06.19/ Turan: Today in Moscow Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov opened an exhibition of works by the People"s Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan Tahir Salahov. The ceremony was held in the mansion of the Russian Foreign Ministry at Spiridonovka.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Tahir Salakhov for accepting an offer to hold an exhibition in Moscow," Lavrov said. "The idea arose after I visited the opening day of the master during my visit to Baku, and it seemed to me that it would be correct if Muscovites will be able to admire these works. It is great that the exhibition took place, "said Lavrov.
"I am flattered that I was invited here with an exhibition, for me it is a great happiness to be in this temple of culture and friendship, where important matters related to the world and life of the country are solved almost every day. Great thanks once again to Mr. Lavrov and all the ministry employees", - the artist emphasized.
The exhibition includes works by Salakhov, dedicated to Baku oilmen, portraits of composers Kara Karaev and Dmitry Shostakovich, ballerina Olga Rukavishnikova, daughters Aidan, still life and interiors, graphic and pictorial cycles "On Czechoslovakia", "According to Italy", "Across America", "India "," Across Norway ", triptych" Land of Lights ".
After inspecting the exhibition, Lavrov presented Salakhov with a departmental award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation - a sign "For Contribution to International Cooperation".
