A group of young activists announced the creation of the Street Book Movement. Its goal is to create an accessible book chain in the capital, regions, and also in other countries.
The first stage provides for voluntary collection of books and displaying them in different parts of Baku for everyone. There wil be loose leafs inside the books noting that the book belongs to the Street Book Movement, and on what terms they will be passed to the owner. So, after reading the book , the owner must return it back for transferring the new owner.
Each new owner receiving a book should report this in a special facebook group.
Similar process will continue in the regions through representatives of the movement in the regions.
The collected books will be sent to other regions for a mutual exchange.
In the third stage the books by Azerbaijani authors will be translated into English, and sent to foreign representatives of the Movement.
To prevent the loss of books in social networks and groups will be created groups and websites. Every reader will post information about the received book in the established resources. Readers will share their views in writing, video and website of the Movement.
According to an initiator of the campaign, Saleh Mehdizadeh , there are not restrictions on the book genres.
