Another blow to Erdogan - the resignation of the head of the disciplinary commission of the AKP
The Head of the Disciplinary Commission of Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Melik Bayat, resigned and left the party, according to the website haber.com.
In his application Bayat wrote that "the authorities bear responsibility to the people for the corruption scandal, and must defeat this evil and to be transparent." "Unfortunately, the rule of law today is questionable," he said. Bayat also wrote that an oligarchic group has been formed in the ruling party and conducts its own policy, what is unacceptable and causes serious damage to the party, polarizes society.
Bayat also rejected the application of the party leader and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the recent loud corruption scandal was initiated from abroad. According to him, the ruling party "is not even aware" that it more and more distances from the universal values of healthy thinking, democracy and moves into authoritarianism.
Another blow Erdogan received from his closest associate, the President Abdullah Gul, who said that there is no connection between the current corruption scandal and unrest around the park Gezi.
Earlier, Erdogan argued that youth protests around the park Gezi Istanbul this summer and the current corruption scandal are the links of one chain and the scenario was developed by hostile forces abroad. -05D-
