The Kapellhaus to Show Film about Famous German Artist
April 18, at the center of the German-Azerbaijani Culture Kapellhaus there will be shown a documentary about the German artist Gerhard Richter.
Before the show there will be presented the artist Sarah Neal Jones, the press release of the event said. The organizer of the show is the union Alov engaged in shares in the field of culture.
The film’s author is Corinna Belz, who opens and shows the viewer the artist's creative experiments.
* Works by Gerhard Richter (1932) are included in the collections of major museums in Europe. In 2005, he held the 1st place in the annual list of the magazine Capital - the most expensive and successful masters of contemporary German painting.
He works in the style of pop art by manipulating advertisements, road signs and pictures. The artist calls his creativity "capitalist realism". In 1985, the artist became the winner of the prize after Oskar Kokoschka. From that moment the artist's work can be found in all major exhibition halls in the world. Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
